QUT College

A renowned destination of the QUT Kelvin Grove campus, the newly refurbished P Block has transformed the college into a place that facilitates diversity and a supportive platform into the greater university.

PDT Architects were engaged by QUT to reconfigure and reimagine the existing spaces within the QUT College (P Block) to enhance the student and staff experience. The refurbishment of the college was a primary opportunity to integrate a design that represents key aspects of Australian culture; while constituting a place of learning, growth, development and change – allowing students and staff to flourish.

As a result, PDT Architects delivered a project that provides high-quality teaching spaces, increased access and connectivity between teaching and student zones, greater staff amenities and efficient office space. The Foyer is the grand statement of the College – with a sculptural tree form representative of the nurturing pathway that branches from the College into the broader university. All these elements, reflecting the sense of collaboration, community, creativity and supportiveness.
