The combination of fashion, colour and holiday experience was pdt’s design inspiration behind the $100 million refurbishment and extension to the first ever Low Cost Carrier Terminal located on the Gold Coast. The project brief was to create a space that was distinctly unique to the Gold Coast; a space that was functional, easy to navigate and stress free, while capturing the essence of the Gold Coast.

The result is an airport terminal that emulates the sophistication and diversity of the Gold Coast using colour and aeronautical design features with a colour palate inspired by the Gold Coast beach, nightlife and hinterland.

The Gold Coast airport, once consider a regional post only, is now rated as the 5th busiest international airport in Australia and the 6th busiest general airport.
