Celebrating 10 Years!

This year, we’re proud to be celebrating a very special milestone for three of our team members; Connor Howes, Jordan Halliday, and Kiel Gailer. Each of them marking 10 years with PDT Architects. It’s not often that you get to acknowledge this kind of dedication and growth across three individuals in one moment, and we couldn’t be prouder to have them as part of the PDT family.

Connor Howes

Connor’s journey with us is the kind of story that makes you smile. From Work Experience Student to Student of Architecture, then Graduate, and now a Registered Architect and respected leader in our Transport sector.

His calm, thoughtful communication style, combined with a deep passion for process and systems, makes him a versatile asset across multiple project types. Whether he’s leading Queensland Rail work or jumping into community, sports, and health sectors, Connor’s ability to engage large stakeholder groups and balance both design and delivery is impressive.

You’ll also find him contributing his insights across interiors, submissions, workshops, and fee writing, or just chatting business strategy over coffee. A much-loved team member, we’re so proud of all he’s achieved in these 10 years.

Jordan Halliday

From student to registered architect, Jordan’s evolution has been a joy to witness. Over the years, he has developed into a designer of quiet confidence, someone who brings a refined eye, deep technical knowledge, and a thoughtful approach to every project he touches.

Jordan’s work consistently reflects a balance of creativity and precision. His recent projects, including the Spring Hill Specialist Day Hospital and the Yandina State School Multi-Purpose Hall, are strong examples of his ability to deliver elegant, technically sound solutions that respond beautifully to their context and purpose.

He approaches each challenge with calm focus and care, earning the trust of his clients. Jordan, thank you for everything you bring to our team. Here’s to the next decade of great design, grounded thinking and good humour!

Kiel J T Gailer

Senior Interior Designer, educator, builder, theatre set designer, cosplayer, and creative powerhouse. Kiel’s story is unlike any other. With degrees in both Interior Design and Performance Studies, he brings a unique blend of creativity, precision and flair to every project and client interaction.

Kiel’s leadership, care for his team, and ability to manage complex interiors projects with confidence and humility is exceptional. His dedication to both practice and teaching (as a Revit educator at QUT), along with his new business and community involvement, speaks volumes about his passion and drive.

Much loved by both the PDT Architects and PDT.RED teams, Kiel’s contribution over the past 10 years has shaped many of the ways we work, mentor and collaborate. We’re so lucky to have him in our corner.

Congratulations again to Connor, Jordan and Kiel. Thank you for everything you’ve brought to the team over the past decade. We’re excited to see what the future holds.
