The Mater Springfield Private Hospital main design intention was to provide patients with exceptional acute and subacute treatment and care, while promoting wellness to a rapidly growing region.

Mater Health Services contracted PDT Architects, in association with STH, to design a hospital to meet the growing healthcare needs of the greater Springfield community. The hospital was part of a master plan for the hospital precinct within the Health City Springfield Central.

Mater Springfield Private Hospital was part of Stage One, a $85 million hospital with 80-beds covering 10,000m2. The new hospital provides a range of medical and surgical services including four operating theatres, inpatient wards, a day surgery unit, medical imaging services, cancer care centre and a landscaped sensory garden.
