The award-winning Shine Birtinya Retirement Village is located in beautiful Kawana on the Sunshine Coast. Shine Birtinya is a site within Stockland’s $5 billion Oceanside master planned community. A high-rise housing solution for independent and active retirees aged 55 and over, Shine Birtinya complements the development’s alternative living options and health / lifestyle amenities.

PDT Architects were engaged by Stocklands to masterplan and design the $63 million development to provide an affordable and semi-integrated housing alternative that meets the needs of people over differing stages of their lives.

Under a Design and Construct contact, PDT Architects and McNab Construction delivered an eight-storey retirement resort. The Village includes 140 apartments over 20,000m2 – offering one, two and three beds, plus alternative options. The site also features landscaped grounds, a resort style pool and a two-storey clubhouse facility with a bar, dining room, lounge, billiards room, library, hairdresser and wellness centre.
