‘The Space’ regional youth facility has been designed to promote a sense of ownership and freedom of expression through social and cultural activities.

PDT Architects consulted with a social planner and community groups to create a resource that provides long term benefits to the youth of North Lakes and greater Moreton Bay Region. The redevelopment of North Lake’s community centre is now a vibrant and busy youth centre, offering multi-purpose areas for the community youth to socialise, have fun and get creative in a welcoming environment.

The creation of ‘The Space’ includes a hangout area of open seating and booth areas, display areas for skate boards and art work, a café, computer lab, performance studio, half-court basketball, stage / amphitheatre and a skateable terrain for a variety of skills and age groups.
