Redefining the notion of shopping in Townsville, the newly expanded Stockland Townsville Centre offers the first Myer department store in the region. Along with Myer, the centre also offers 55 new specialty stores and the latest concept Woolworths.

PDT Architects delivered the $180 million development under a D+C contract with staged building works that allowed the continued operation of the existing centre. The result offers 13,372m2 of floor space with a reconfigured layout designed to increase foot traffic and dwell times to showcase tenants.

With upgraded entry statements to reinvigorate the existing urban fabric, a select palette of materials were considered for longevity and resilience which earnt a four-start rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.
