The focus of Queensland Rail’s Station Accessibility Upgrade Program is on upgrading stations and associated facilities to be accessible by all, irrespective of their ability.
PDT were initially engaged by Queensland Rail to design and document the reference design for accessibility upgrade works to Auchenflower train station. Once complete, PDT were novated to John Holland for the duration of the construction phase.

The Auchenflower Station site presented significant complexity and as such, demanded substantial infrastructure solutions to arrive at a successful outcome. The site is situated in a valley between two existing roadways and private properties, and it was important to improve the connection to the Wesley hospital, which was to be maintained and enhanced through the project.
