PDT Architects were appointed to design and document station renovations, including platforms and office space.

The BOH offices were staged through a series of stakeholder workshops and coordination with the client and contractor during the design process and developed in the construction phase. The staging enabled the staff to maintain amenities and office / lunchroom breakout spaces while the contractor demolished and finalised zones within the site. Once an area was completed, the staff was decanted into the newly refurbished spaces, ensuring station staff access to amenity throughout the works.

The new platform design moves away from the dated existing décor and creates a brighter, more modern palette. It takes into consideration the overall station precinct and potential for future development. The new design will also accommodate future proofing of services and maximise safe access into ceiling structures at platform levels.
