Queensland Fire Department (QFD) require a new Fire & Rescue Station and associated training facilities to replace the existing Bracken Ridge Fire & Rescue Station. PDT were engaged as the principal consultant by QBuild to develop the preliminary concept into a workable design, coordinated and approved by all relevant stakeholders.

The site presents unique challenges, which PDT and our team have worked hard to overcome through the Design Development phase. Our involvement has been from the Schematic Design phase, through to the current construction phase, where we are engaged to provide construction support services as the project proceeds towards practical completion.

The Facility incorporates a three bay Engine Room for fire appliances, a Multi-Purpose Training Building, Bulk Storage Shed with technical rescue storage capacity, Covered Training Pad, Training Tower, and accommodations for a Combined Aerial Pumping Appliance on site.
