Tree planting day: ready, steady...shovel!

Earlier this month our team did their best to create a happier and healthier world by planting trees for the National Tree Day - Australia's biggest community tree-planting event. Pdt staff, partners, family and friends dug deep to plant several hundred native trees for the event [interesting note: native trees help combat climate change by locking up carbon, enabling ecosystems to adapt to changing conditions, and safeguarding against pests and disease].

Visitors to the first Brisbane Open House will be granted the rare opportunity to take behind the scenes guided tours and gain entry to places not usually accessible to the public eye. One of these places is the iconic Masonic Memorial Lodge on Ann Street. The Masonic Lodge was designed by Lange` Powell (the founding partner of pdt architects) as a monument for brethren who had fallen in the First World War. The Lodge was constructed in 1930 at a cost of 130,000 british pounds and its' grand hall is regarded as one of the finest in Australia. To support this event please visit the Brisbane Open House website: www.brisbaneopenhouse.com.au
